• INDICATIONS
Inactivated oil emulsion vaccine to induce active immunity in chickens against avian influenza virus type A, subtype H9N2. The virus is groen in (SPF) chicken embryos, and then activated and suspended in aqueous phase mixed in oil adjuvant to produce a waterin oil emulsion vaccine.
• COMPOSITION
Each (0.2 ml) contains
A minimum of 10 8.2 EID50 of inactivated avaian influenza virus (subype H9N2).
Oil adjuvant.
• DOSAGE & ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
Bring the vaccine to room temperature.
Shake the container well before use.
Vaccination:
Inject one dose per chick (1-7 days old chicks); 0.2 ml subcutaneously in the lower part in the back of the neck or intramuscularly in the thigh muscle.
1st Booster vaccination; vaccinate 0.3 ml subcutaneously in the lower part in the neck or intramuscularly in the breast or thigh muscle at 6-8 weeks of age.
2st Booster vaccination; vaccinate 0.3 ml subcutaneously in the lower part in the back or intramuscularly in the breast or thigh muscle at 16-18 weeks of age.
Vaccination of breeders at 40 weeks of age to enhance the transfer breeders’ maternal antibodies to baby chicks.
• CONTRAINDICATIONS
None.
• WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Zero days.
• SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
• Do not vaccinate sick or stressed birds.
Apply usual aspetic procedures.
• STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE
• Store between +2 C to +8 C.
Protect from sunlight.
Do not freeze.
The vaccine remains stable for 2 years from production date stated on the label under the recommended storage conditions.
Use within 8-10 hours after first opening.
