Waki Oxytetracycline 40%


Waki Oxytetracycline 40% is belonged to the tetracycline group. Which produce its bacteriostatic action by binding to the 30s ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms. After binding to the ribosome tetracyclines interfere with the binding of aminoacyl-t RNA to the messenger RNA-molecule/ribosome complex, thereby interfering with the bacterial protein synthesis in growing or multiplying . organisms. Tetracyclines have broad spectrum activity



Poultry and Turkey: • For treatment of Respiratory mycoplasmosis caused by: mycoplasma spp. • Treatment of bacterial diarrhea caused by: Escherichia coli and Salmonella spp. sensitive to Oxytetracycline. • Treatment of Infectious Coryza caused by Haemophilus paragallinarum. • Treatment of staphylococcal infection caused by: Staphylococci spp. sensitive for Oxytetracycline.



Each 1000 gm contains:
Oxytetracycline dihydrate 42.60 gm (Eq. to 40 gm Oxytetracycline base)


Route of administration: Orally via drinking water
Poultry :
0.5 – 1 kilo gram / tone of finished feed for 5 – 10 days


1. Do not use in animals before weaning
2. Not to be mixed with milk
3. Not to be used with penicillin and cephalosporins.
