ROYAL COLISTIN

PRESENTATION

• Royal Colistin has gram negative spectrum, with boctericidal action on susceptible microorganism like: Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Shigella and Pseudomonas. • Colistin produce its action by interact with the phospholipids within the cell membrane and penetrate it, causing permeability changes within the cell, which result in cell death. • Colistin are not absorbed to any extent from the GIT when administered orally .

 

INDICATIONS

Royal Colistin is indicated for treating Coli-enteritis and Enteritis caused by gram-negative bacteria, particularly E. Coli, pseudomonas spp., klebsiella spp. and salmonella spp., in poultry, Rabbits, Calves, Sheep and Goats

 

COMPOSITION

Each 100 gm contains: Colistin Sulphate 600 million IU.

DOSE

Poultry: 1gm / 6 litre of drinking water once daily for 4-5 successive days. Rabbits: 0.5 gm / 25 kg b.w. once daily for 4-5 successive days. Calves, Sheep & Goats: 40 000 IU / kg b.w. for 3-5 successive days.

 WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

Meat: 7 days
Poultry: 3 days

store dry in a well closed packing, below 30 co and protected from light.
